Department of Philosophy and Religion College of Humanities and Social Sciences North Carolina State University Clair Simmons Allan-Samson Memorial Scholarship The Clair Simmons Allan-Samson Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for the study of moral philosophy for students who have demonstrated an interest in animal rights. Recipients of the scholarship will normally either major or minor in philosophy and, during their undergraduate careers, will write a substantial paper on the topic of animal rights under the direction of a member of the philosophy faculty.
