Praxis vgz
CAF awarded street artist and provocateur Praxis vgz a grant for “Where’s My Mother?” a project to blanket New York City with 400 original posters on the cruelties involved in dairy consumption. Praxis aimed to (literally) draw attention to the cruelty and trauma and calves being taken from their mothers, and the misogyny and misery involved in dairy milk production—and, conversely, to encourage people to join with the millions of others who are switching to non-dairy alternatives. Praxis hit Gotham’s streets on Mother’s Day in the United States (May 14, 2023), and continued with a pop-up show on May 26th.
