Christopher Sebastian McJetters is an author, researcher, and lecturer who educates people on veganism in a way that connects theoretical concepts to grassroots activists around the world. His primary focus is on how animal violence influences anti-Black racism, queer antagonism, and class discrimination throughout the global West. Christopher Sebastian received a grant to continue this work. He writes:

The content generated through this research broadens current theoretical understandings of animal rights by a.) addressing issues of race, gender, and sexuality and b.) helping to create a vegan/animal movement that is more inclusive and, thus, more representative. In short, it does the dual work of helping activists think theoretically and helping theorists remain grounded in activism.

Christopher was interviewed on the Our Hen House podcast (June 11, 2022). Listen to it here.
