Leigh Sanders and Jessa Goodall received a grant to co-curate The Art of Compassion: Virtual 3D Exhibition. Their primary mission was to use the boundless realm of technology to open significantly more hearts and minds to the compassionate lifestyle of veganism. They also hoped to give artists an eventful and engaging platform to continue sharing their artwork and to auction off art print to support vegan non-profits. They write:

Curating art exhibitions motivates our artists to continue creating animal advocacy art, which is crucial to the advancement of the vegan movement. In receiving recognition for their artwork, artists will also be especially motivated to share about the virtual 3D art exhibition on their social media, which will lead to only more visitors and hopefully more hearts opened to the plight of animals.

The Art of Compassion online exhibition ran from July 2021 to May 2022. It encompassed two main themes: “Nourishing with Heart” and “At Home in Nature.” Each theme’s proceeds were donated to the Food Empowerment Project and The Goode Life respectively. The exhibition primarily highlighted working vegan and animal rights artists who addressed topics such as human–animal interaction, sustainable vegan living, and coexistence in nature. Leigh and Jessica are now working on producing an exhibition catalog for this show. All the proceeds from this catalog will be going to the not-for-profit Lefty’s Place.
