Samantha Derrick
CAF awarded Samantha Derrick a grant to help her complete her film project, Plant Futures in Mexico. Samantha is the founder and executive director of Plant Futures Initiative, and received her a Master’s degree in Public Health from University of California Berkeley, where she focused on plant-based nutrition and food systems. Samantha lives in Mexico City, Mexico. Plant Futures in Mexico was launched at the Animals & Vegan Activism Summit in Brazil in December 2024.
