Ann Marie Thornburg received an MFA in Poetry from University of Michigan Helen Zell Writers’ Program, where she was also a Zell Postgraduate Fellow in Poetry. Ann Marie was also a Human–Animal Studies Fellow at Wesleyan University, and most recently, the recipient of a 2017 Critical Language Scholarship at Kellogg Institute for International Studies to study bahasa Indonesia in Malang, Indonesia. Ann Marie received a grant from CAF to support a series of poems about relationships between animals and people. You can read two of her poems, here and here.
