Katya Lidsky is from Laredo, Texas. She writes:

I received a grant that enabled me to put on the first run of my one-woman play, I’m Sorry, about how an apologist became an animal activist. From renting the theatre, to paying the lighting team and director, to marketing the show, I was able to put up two weekends of performances, which resulted in an audience member offering to support another run of the play. After the show ran for the year, I earned a Los Angeles Ovation Recommendation and was then accepted to the New York Fringe Festival in 2013. I am now a full-time writer and this play, honoring my love of animals and the arts, started the whole alignment of my life. You can find more of my work here.
