Board member Kim Stallwood and Martin Rowe, executive director of CAF, have written an opinion piece for Sentient Media on the complicated legacy of Martin’s Act, a.k.a. The Cruel Treatment of Cattle Act, which was signed into U.K. law by King George IV on July 22, 1822.
July 22 also sees the launch of the first two episodes of the Martin’s Act at 200 audio documentary, and chart2050, an attempt to imagine a just future for humans, animals, and the planet by 2050.
