In the year in which CAF celebrates its 40th anniversary, we’re pleased to announce our 2025 grantees. They encompass a range of disciplines and artistic practices from many different countries.

From work on “green criminology” to the first Human–Animal Studies course in Russia; from the performance of a trial where animals hold people to account to a museum of carnism; and from animations to art curation to a study of literature regarding animals in the war in Ukraine—these projects showcase the many and varied ways that scholars and artists are engaging with animals and their rights.
