Nancy Regan

On July 11, 2022, friends of Nancy Regan gathered online for a memorial to CAF’s co-founder, who died in 2021. You can listen to an audio recording of the event at the jump.

The memorial, which was hosted by Martin Rowe, executive director of CAF, featured in-person comments by current and former CAF board members: Martin Rowe, Mia MacDonald, Kim Stallwood, Gary Comstock, Mylan Engel, Jo-Anne McArthur, and Rachel Robison-Greene. Also speaking were family friends Lisa Finlay and Bernard Unti; CAF grantee Carrie Packwood Freeman; and Nancy’s son-in-law John Rucker. Martin Rowe read reflections by grantees Ayten Alkan and Ellie Sarty; long-time animal activist Jim Mason; NCSU Libraries archivist Gwyneth Thayer; and current CAF president, Jill-Howard Church.
